Life Update

7/8/2020

Hello, everyone! I know, it's been a while. I took a break from writing the last few months, as motherhood has kept me quite busy. My son is now 9 months old, and he is more active than ever! He has started standing up, and I don't think walking is too far off. More mobility means more attention needed, ha! However, I missed writing too much to stop, and I am excited to get back into things.
Life has been strange for all of us these last few months. Nate has been able to work from home, so our little family has been at home together. As unfortunate as the world events are, it is important to find the blessings in everything. It has been such a blessing for Nate to still be able to work from home and for us all to be together as a family every day. Back in February we also added a new family member to our tribe - a Golden Retriever puppy! Her name is Honey, and she's a fun-loving, active, sweet pup. My son and Honey are only two months apart in age, so they will grow up together! Both Honey and our other dog, Ella, are great with the baby. They just lay around as my son crawls all over them.
My son is a great night sleeper, but let me tell you - nap time is a struggle! He used to be a great napper, but over the last two months, his naps have been all over the place. He's an active little boy, always wanting to be on the move and doing something. Therefore, my days are quite full with watching him. He has been trying all different kinds of foods, his favorite being french toast. Although, I did have to question whether he was my child or not when he didn't like mac n' cheese! He is starting to comprehend things, which has been so cool to see. His new favorite thing is waving and saying hello. Once he's finally out for the night, I get the chance to complete my schoolwork.
Speaking of schoolwork, I am still charging full speed ahead with my Business degree. I will be completing my bachelor's degree this December, a semester earlier than originally planned. At this point, I am so ready to be done with school! However, I am learning a lot through my degree, and it is making me more and more excited for my future business plans. I plan on looking for a job in marketing and event planning once I graduate. I also have a big idea for a business venture I'd like to pursue! So I am very excited to graduate and start my life in the business field.
And, well, that is about everything that has been going on with me recently. The days are busy, and time has been flying by! It's hard to believe it is July already. Stay tuned for more blogs and exciting changes that will be happening here on my website. Thanks for catching up with me!
